Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Programmer/Operator and become a vital part of creating precision-engineered components. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will help drive our commitment to excellence in manufacturing, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to meet tight tolerances and complex specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software such as Mastercam or CATIA to optimize machining processes for CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, ensuring precise understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) requirements. Set up CNC machines with appropriate tooling, fixtures, and calibration instruments including bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Operate CNC equipment safely while maintaining high standards of quality, precision, and efficiency throughout production runs. Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators and bore gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or machine performance; make adjustments or notify maintenance as needed. Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, production logs, inspection reports, and process improvements aligned with lean manufacturing principles. Experience Proven experience programming and operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of LAGUNA or similar CNC control systems. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, CATIA is a plus Familiarity with CAM programming tools for creating efficient tool paths. Understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings. Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices aimed at reducing waste and improving productivity. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling selection, fixture setup, and machining parameters. Ability to work with precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
