CNC Setup/Programmer Wage:
$25- 30/hour

5:00am-3:00pm Monday-Thursday Take the lead on setups, programming, and first-piece quality in a fast-growing CNC shop! We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Setup/Programmer to join the team. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and troubleshooting CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an associate to hire role in Monticello, Iowa. CNC Setup/Programmer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Set up and program CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications
- Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed to improve efficiency and quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T, to ensure accuracy
- Perform first-piece inspections and quality checks using precision measuring tools
- Load and unload materials and finished parts (up to 50 pounds)
- Assist operators with machine adjustments and troubleshooting
- Complete daily production and quality documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
CNC Setup/Programmer Requirements:
- Previous CNC setup and programming experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience using machinist measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, ID gauges, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Positive attitude and professional work ethic
- Willingness to train and support team members as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for up to 10 hours per shift
- Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 pounds
- Equipment used includes CNC machines, micrometers, calipers, step gauges, and ID gauges
- Work is performed in a manufacturing/production environment
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
- Must follow all PPE and safety requirements
- Adhere to dress code
