We are a growing woodshop specializing in high-quality custom cabinetry, furniture, and architectural millwork. Our team combines craftsmanship with modern technology to produce precision wood products for residential and commercial clients. We also provide design and technical drawings for construction projects.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Operator to join our woodshop team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce wood components with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience working with wood materials and a strong understanding of CNC processes in a woodworking environment. We are also looking for a candidate with experience using google sketch up.
Key Responsibilities:
Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software for woodworking applications Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and design specifications Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs Operate CNC routers and ensure parts meet quality standards Troubleshoot programming or machine issues as they arise Collaborate with designers, engineers, and shop staff to optimize production Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications:
Experience programming and operating CNC machines (woodshop experience preferred) Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Aspire, VCarve, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, etc.) Strong understanding of woodworking materials, tools, and processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
Experience with nested-based manufacturing Knowledge of toolpath optimization for wood materials Familiarity with edge banding, finishing, or assembly processes How to
