Job Description

Rockford Manufacturing Group (RMG) is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of wire processing machinery that is sold worldwide. We are looking for a Mazak Lathe Machinist / Programmer to join our machining team. The plant is on a scheduled 4 day, 40 hour work week which allows our employees a three day weekend. Any overtime that is needed can be worked on a Friday morning. 1st shift hours team, 6:30 am - 12:30 pm. Programmer Job Responsibilities:
Set up, Program and Run Mazak CNC lathes. Understand and select correct tooling. Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications. Ensure the CNC Machine is operating at the highest level of productivity and quality appropriate to the assigned project. Review and maintain set up sheets and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence and dimensions. Assemble cutting tools in tool holders and position in magazine as needed to machine parts. Measure work piece for conformance to specification using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicator and gages. Adjust machine speeds and feeds and change cutters to machine parts efficiently. Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized. Mazak Machinist /
Programmer Minimum Skills Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 3+ years' experience and knowledge on CNC lathe Machinery. Must be able to program Familiarity with Mazak, and Mazatrol controls is preferred. Strong communication skills. Mazak Machinist /
Programmer Physical Abilities:
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Frequent reaching, bending. Standing, walking 100% of the time. Mazak Machinist /
Programmer Equipment Knowledge:
Machinist tools. Overhead crane operation. CNC machines. Basic computer use.
