Job Description

CNC Mill Programmer/Machinist QSI Automation, Inc. has been serving our customers since our founding in 1988. We build and service fully automated cells, feeder systems, injection molds, and plastic injection machinery along with providing custom machining services. With more than 620 years of combined commitment and experience, we use our expertise to exceed customer expectations with our promise of Quality, Service, and Integrity. We are looking to grow our team by adding a new CNC Mill Programmer/Machinist to our Custom Machining division in Albion, IN . This is a full time, 1st shift, hourly position responsible for CNC programming, set up, operation , and common machine shop duties.
Job requirements include the following:
Advanced understanding/operation of common machine shop equipment Advanced understanding of machine shop best practices Programming, setup, and operation of 3-axis mills Mastercam experience a plus but not required
HAAS CNC
vertical mill experience a plus but not required Proper use of precision measuring instruments such as mics, calipers, indicators, and gages Accurately interpret detailed drawings and models Job responsibilities include the following: Perform advanced machining operations, toolmaking, and common machine shop duties Clear communications with all areas of the toolroom to ensure the project stays on track and on time Assist with various machining projects Mentor less experienced coworkers on equipment and best practices Maintain professional relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers Additional appropriate items as needed
