Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our dynamic OEM manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling, and precision measurement will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology in a fast-paced environment dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation. Duties Develop and modify CNC programs using Mastercam to optimize machining operations on CNC milling machines and CNC lathes Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and ensuring proper calibration using precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings utilizing GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure parts meet exact specifications Operate CNC equipment efficiently while adhering to lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize productivity Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using precision tools such as dial indicators, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensional accuracy Troubleshoot machining issues promptly by analyzing tool wear, machine alignment, and program errors; adjust settings as needed for optimal output Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, setup procedures, and quality checks for compliance and continuous improvement initiatives Recognize and recommend tooling for efficiency imporovment Experience Proven experience operating and programming CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is highly desirable Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with an understanding of GD&T principles Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Inventer CAD software for part design, review, and toolpath generation Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts to promote efficiency and waste reduction in production workflows Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling selection, geometry considerations, and mechanical systems involved in machining processes 5-Axis CNC machining experience preferred. Pay:
$27.00 - $31.00 per hour
