CNC Machinist Programmer

A manufacturing company in Columbus is hiring a skilled CNC Machinist Programmer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, advanced machining, and creating high-accuracy components using wire EDM technology.

CNC Machinist Programmer's Pay & Benefits:

CNC Machinist Programmer's Schedule:

1st Shift Monday - Friday Flexible on hours Open to someone full-time or part-time

CNC Machinist Programmer's Job Duties:

Create, modify, and optimize CNC wire EDM programs using CAD/CAM platforms (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications Set up and operate CNC wire EDM machines with Fanuc controls Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, CMM equipment, and other inspection tools Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear, machine performance, and electrical discharge machining processes Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency Partner with engineering to review CAD models and recommend improvements for manufacturability and toolpath strategy

CNC Machinist Programmer's Requirements:

Hands-on experience programming CNC wire EDM equipment (preferably with Fanuc controls) Strong understanding of CAD and CAM systems Familiarity with CNC milling and turning operations is a plus Solid knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement practices Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of machining processes and tooling setups Continuous-improvement mindset with exposure to lean manufacturing principles Easy Ways to
