CNC Programmer

CNC Lead Technician - Aerospace Indianapolis, IN 1st Shift A leading aerospace & defense manufacturer is hiring a CNC Lead Technician for an advanced manufacturing environment focused on composites, tooling, and precision machining. This is NOT a basic machine operator role. They are looking for a hands-on CNC professional with strong Mastercam programming, setup, troubleshooting, and leadership experience.

Responsibilities:

Mastercam programming Composite trimming, tooling, molds & fixtures Setup and operation of 3-axis & 5-axis CNC machines Work with composites, aluminum tooling, foam core & honeycomb materials Machine setups, prove-outs & first article inspections Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues Support process improvements & scrap reduction Train and mentor machinists/operators Collaborate with engineering & manufacturing teams

Qualifications:

5+ years of CNC machining experience Strong Mastercam experience required 3-axis & 5-axis experience preferred Aerospace, composites, tooling, or prototype manufacturing experience preferred Strong setup & troubleshooting skills Ability to manage projects from programming through finished part Great opportunity for a high-level CNC professional looking to grow in advanced aerospace manufacturing.
