Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a "U.S. Citizen". Job Details We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with a strong background in programming and operating the Modig RigiMill. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and optimizing CNC programs to produce high-quality parts efficiently and precisely. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of Modig CNC machines, CAD/CAM software, and possess exceptional problem-solving abilities. Job Summary Responsible for creating work instructions and preparing programs to be read by controllers on computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines for the purpose of producing precision machined metal parts in conformance with customer design specifications. Essential Functions Prepares numerical control (NC) programs and related documentation for producing a precision part on the machines Creates consistent and reliable methods for optimum efficiency of material removal and part compliance Selects cutting tools that are suitable for particular part/machine tool; sets up all jobs with required fixtures and tooling Follows the progress of part(s) through inspection and other processing cycles for discrepancies and optimizations Collaborates with internal and external customers as required regarding delivery, blueprint questions, lean ideas, cost reductions, etc. Identifies improvement opportunities; adheres to schedule and budget constraints Provides support for machine operations; provides training on safe work habits as needed Perform other related duties as required Job Duties Develop programs from model-based definition using assigned CAM software: MasterCam/CATIA. Develop a tooling list for each program. Work with CNC machine operators to optimize or modify programs as required. Plan, create, verify, and revise machine control data and documentation that directs the operations for numerically controlled machines. Assist, edit, troubleshoot, and resolve needs within the manufacturing process, various APQP processes, package and relocation support, supply chain, CNC machines and programming, cutting tools, components and parts, unique parts, scrap, etc. Experience with cost reduction. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Provide numerical control, machining, and programming technical expertise to support 4/5 axis machining and turning NC programs, experienced with Modig
RIGIMILL MG.
Develop programs from model-based definition using assigned CAM software: MasterCam/CATIA. Utilize Vericut validation software for NC program. Experience creating and updating technical documents, reports, and standards Analyze blueprints, engineering models, and electronic controls to support NC programming. Experience and working knowledge of manufacturing process, assembly, and fabrication process. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Extensive understanding of product engineering concepts and applications. Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, as well as managers and engineers in client business units. Ability to work directly with shop floor operators for tryout and process improvement. Ability to be a self-starter with potential for technical leadership and guidance. Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of design for manufacturing concepts. Hands on experience in the shop/manufacturing environment.
