Imagine running a compact manufacturing cell—up to three machines—where you set the strategy, write the programs, mentor one operator, and deliver precision parts on time. That's this role. Your mission Translate customer drawings/specs into robust programs for CNC mills and lathes using Mastercam or Hypermill. Create or refine 2D drawings and 3D models from customer inputs to support manufacturability. Author clear setup sheets; select tooling and holders; define offsets—aiming for optimal yield and cost. Lead and instruct machine setups; run prove‑outs; troubleshoot programming and machining issues. Submit purchasing requisitions for tooling and BOM items; collaborate across departments to resolve issues and drive QMS‑aligned continuous improvement. Manage the day‑to‑day of a dedicated operator while maintaining safety and quality objectives and meeting delivery commitments. Are you a fit? Check the boxes High School diploma or GED; bonus points for an Associate's in Engineering Technology, technical certification, or apprenticeship. 1+ year of CNC programming experience. 4+ years in machining (or manager‑approved equivalent experience). Mastercam or Hypermill expert; comfortable with general computer use. Confident blueprint reader; GD&T capable (advanced preferred). Hands‑on with calipers, micrometers, and common gages. Proactive problem‑solver with solid work ethic, great attendance, and adaptability; leadership ability preferred. Material versatility across steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, titanium, copper, ceramic, etc.
Required:
3‑axis milling setup/operation.
Preferred:
4‑ and 5‑axis milling; prior CNC machining & setup experience. Physically able to lift 50-75 lbs; comfortable sitting or standing for long periods; available for overtime with a flexible schedule. Quality & standards you'll work within
