Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Operator/Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring precise machining operations, from programming CNC machines to overseeing their operation on various equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for manufacturing excellence, a strong mechanical aptitude, and expertise in CNC programming and setup. Your work will directly contribute to producing high-quality components with precision and efficiency, supporting our commitment to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software, ensuring efficient machining processes for both lathe and milling operations. Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to detailed blueprints and schematics. Operate CNC equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines with precision, adhering to safety standards and quality specifications. Perform routine inspections using precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions. Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and electrical schematics to ensure accurate manufacturing processes. Adjust machine parameters as needed based on inspection results to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality output. Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspection results, and machine maintenance logs in compliance with lean manufacturing practices. Requirements Proven experience operating and programming CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines. Proficiency with CNC programming languages including Fanuc controls; familiarity with CAM software for toolpath generation. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and schematic interpretation. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Mechanical knowledge of tooling selection, geometry calculations, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and schematic schematics. Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks for part design review and modifications; familiarity with CATIA is a plus. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows and reduce waste. Ability to troubleshoot machining issues quickly while maintaining safety protocols. Excellent math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and tool paths necessary for precise machining. Join us in delivering top-tier manufacturing solutions through innovative CNC programming and machining excellence!
