Responsibilities Operate CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Program CNC equipment using CNC programming languages and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce precise parts. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering specifications to guide machining processes. Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges. Conduct routine inspections of machined parts with precision tools such as dial indicators and micrometers to verify dimensional accuracy. Skills Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings to ensure accuracy. Skilled in operating precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators. Knowledge of CNC machining processes for both lathe and milling operations; experience with CNC milling machines is essential. Familiarity with CAM programming software. Autodesk or Master CAM preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, maintenance procedures. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, tooling fixtures.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
