Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated CNC Machinist & Programmer to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will take ownership of programming, setting up, and operating our advanced CNC Multi-axis Turning Centers (Mazak) and CNC Vertical Mills. This is an excellent opportunity for a veteran machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality components to strict customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities Setup & Operation:
Independently set up Mazak Turning Centers and CNC Vertical Mills from setup sheets. Load programs into machine controllers, configure workholding and cutting tools, set work positions, establish tool offsets, and dry-run programs safely.
Programming:
Program multi-axis turning centers and vertical mills to optimize production efficiency and part quality.
Quality Control:
Inspect and submit first-article parts with required documentation to Q.A. Conduct continuous in-process visual and dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gages. Record sample data as required.
Production Tracking:
Accurately log setup times, production times, and final part counts into the JobBoss ERP system.
Post-Processing:
Deburr, wash, oil, and package completed parts to protect finish and meet customer standards.
Preventative Maintenance:
Maintain tooling via offsets and timely tool changes. Perform routine machine care including monitoring coolant/lubrication, servicing oil skimmers, and cleaning chip screens, baskets, and workstations.
Team Collaboration:
Maintain clear, proactive communication with Quality, Maintenance, and Management personnel.
Qualifications & Requirements Technical Expertise:
Advanced ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, specifications, and work orders. Strong working knowledge of GD&T and robust shop math skills.
Professional Attributes:
Highly reliable, self-motivated, with strong verbal communication skills.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience (Preferred):
