Position Summary The CNC Machine Operator / Machine Programmer will be responsible for operating, setting up, and making program adjustments at the machine to support production requirements. This role requires strong knowledge of turret Wilson tooling, machine setup, blueprint reading, first-piece inspection, and troubleshooting machine or tooling issues during production. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC equipment safely and efficiently according to production schedules. Set up machines, load programs, and verify material and tooling before production. Make program adjustments at the machine as needed to support accuracy, quality, and productivity. Operate and support equipment such as fiber laser machines, Salvagnini S4 punch and shear centers, and AMADA turret punch presses. Set up, inspect, and troubleshoot turret tooling. Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary corrections before full production runs. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, routings, and manufacturing instructions. Monitor part quality, dimensions, and cosmetic requirements throughout production. Identify and communicate issues related to tooling, alignment, material, programming, or machine performance. Work closely with supervisors, engineering, quality, programming, and maintenance teams. Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Required Qualifications Previous CNC machine operation experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment. Turret tooling experience is required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings. Ability to make program adjustments at the machine. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to use basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Salvagnini S4 punch and shear center. Experience withAMADA EMK
3612 or other AMADA turret punch presses. Experience with fiber laser operation. Experience with machine setup, tooling selection, and first-piece approval. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes. Work Environment This position is located in a manufacturing environment and requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working around industrial machinery.
