With our in-house design staff and metal fabrication shop, we specialize in the construction of custom, turnkey facilities for customers of all sizes—including hospitals, corporate offices, hotels, casinos, and correctional facilities. ________________________________________ Job Summary We're hiring a CNC Laser Programmer to program and support laser cutting operations for custom stainless-steel fabrication. This role focuses on creating and maintaining accurate sheet metal cut programs and nests using Striker Systems Software, coordinating with production and design, and helping ensure parts are cut efficiently and correctly for downstream fabrication. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment with shifting priorities. ________________________________________ What Makes This Role Different Real impact on production: Your programs and nests directly affect cut quality, throughput, and material usage. Expand your skills in laser programming, nesting strategy, and manufacturability in a custom stainless environment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Program CNC laser jobs using Striker based on prints and/or CAD files Create efficient nests to maximize material utilization and reduce scrap Prepare, release, and maintain cut programs with clear organization and revision control Coordinate with shop leads and design team on priorities, changes, and corrections Troubleshoot cut quality or programming issues and adjust programs as needed Support continuous improvement (nesting standards, cycle time reduction, process consistency) ________________________________________ Compliance & Standards Follow all safety procedures and shop standards for CNC/laser operations Support quality requirements by ensuring programs match prints and revision-controlled documentation Maintain clean, accurate files and program documentation for production ________________________________________ Required Qualifications Experience programming CNC laser equipment in a fabrication/manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings/shop prints Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications Striker Systems Software experience strongly preferred (or similar laser programming/nesting software with ability to ramp up quickly) Experience running/operating a CNC laser machine Stainless steel sheet fabrication experience Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD is a plus General knowledge of fabrication processes (press brake, welding, assembly) Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word) ________________________________________ Workplace Standards Drug-Free Workplace Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) ________________________________________ Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off (PTO)Similar remote jobs
