Hiring:
CNC Set-Up Technician / Programmer We are seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Technician / Programmer to join a respected company that values Teamwork, Integrity, and Innovation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who enjoys problem-solving, precision machining, and collaboration with engineering teams. Position Summary The CNC Set-Up Technician / Programmer is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to CNC equipment. This role requires the ability to create, manage, optimize, and maintain CNC programs using G-code and Mazatrol software for both mills and lathes. The technician will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and actively participate in prototype machining and part development. Key Responsibilities Program CNC mills and lathes by entering instructions, establishing zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches Perform calculations using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; prove and validate part programs Set up mills and lathes, including installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tooling, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers Indicate vises and tram machine heads to ensure accuracy Measure and evaluate parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Load feed mechanisms by positioning and securing raw stock Verify machine settings and program accuracy by inspecting first-run parts and sample workpieces in accordance with international quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical diagrams Maintain part specifications by observing machining operations including drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing Detect equipment or process malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and adjust or reprogram controls as needed Sharpen, replace, and maintain cutting tools while adhering to quality assurance procedures Perform preventive maintenance following manufacturer guidelines and arrange repairs when necessary Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations Qualifications Demonstrated experience with G-Code programming Experience with Mazatrol programming preferred Mastercam experience is a plus #nowhiring
Key Position Requirements:
Experience with Haas, Okuma and/or Mazak preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of experience programming, set-up and operating CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes Must be able to stand up to 8 hours a day, lift Must have good attendance Must have consistent and reliable means of transportation Manufacturing using Lean methodology experience preferred Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job include standing, lifting 40 pounds, bending, pushing, and walking. #nowhiring
