Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Machine Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations on the shop floor. In this role, you will oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to safety standards. Your leadership will drive efficiency, precision, and continuous improvement across machining processes, fostering a productive environment that emphasizes craftsmanship and innovation. The ideal candidate is passionate about manufacturing technology, possesses strong mechanical knowledge, and thrives in a fast-paced factory setting. Duties Supervise daily operations of CNC machines including milling machines, lathes, stamping presses, and press brake machines to meet production targets. Coordinate with team members to ensure proper setup of CNC programming using CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precision manufacturing. Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues with Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and implement corrective actions promptly. Oversee tooling selection and maintenance to optimize machining accuracy and efficiency; manage tooling inventory and calibration of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Enforce safety protocols related to materials handling, welding, fabrication, assembly line operations, forklift operation, and use of hand tools. Conduct quality control inspections using blueprint reading skills to verify parts against specifications; document inspection results for compliance. Lead training sessions for team members on CNC programming updates, machine operation best practices, and safety procedures to promote skill development. Experience Proven experience supervising CNC machining operations within a manufacturing facility or factory environment. Must have ITAR experience and AS9100 understanding. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and press brakes. Familiarity with Fanuc controls, CAM programming software such as SolidWorks or similar CAD/CAM tools, and PLC systems. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precise fabrication. Knowledge of materials handling techniques including forklift operation; experience with warehouse procedures is a plus. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers for quality assurance purposes. Prior experience in manufacturing processes such as welding, fabrication, tooling setup, assembly line management, and packaging is highly desirable.
