Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC machine programs to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and machining processes will be vital in ensuring high-quality production standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and innovative design software, contributing to the creation of complex parts with precision and consistency. Responsibilities Develop and modify CNC programs for various machines including CNC lathes, milling machines, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment using CAM software such as Mastercam or CATIA. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining processes. Set up CNC machines by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and calibration tools like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Optimize machining parameters through lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality. Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. Troubleshoot machine issues related to tooling, geometry, or programming errors; perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment. Collaborate with design engineers using CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD to review designs and ensure manufacturability. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, tooling specifications, and inspection reports for quality control purposes. Qualifications Proven experience in CNC programming for both CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with proficiency in Siemens controls. Strong knowledge for Fryer, Dynapath and Hyundai CNC Machines. Familiarity with blueprint reading and GD&T standards to interpret complex technical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, machining processes, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges. Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and improve productivity. Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams relevant to machine operation. Excellent math skills with a focus on geometry calculations necessary for precise machining tasks.
