Job Description

Corvid's manufacturing team has a new opening for a skilled CNC. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing code to produce high-precision machined components for a variety of applications. Typical Corvid products include prototypes and low-rate production efforts for advanced components used on aerospace and weapon systems. You will focus on 5-axis mills but can or learn to program other machine types as well. To be successful in this position, you will need a strong foundation in CAD/CAM software and a passion for CNC programming. This role will allow you to work closely with research and development teams, engineers, and production manages to build quality, highly precise components and systems. This position needs to enjoy challenging work and thrive in an environment that brings constant change and technical challenges.
Tasking will include:
Develop G-code and M-code programs for 5-axis CNC mills Analyze blueprints and 3D models to determine the best machining strategy, including selection of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for a variety of materialproducts Perform simulation and dry runs to prevent crashes and errors as well as troubleshooting programming issues on the show floor Maintain accurate documentation for all programs and setups
Requirements:
Candidate must be a US Citizen HS Diploma/GED with at least 7 years of CNC Programming experience (preferred candidate will have certification or technical training) Expertise in G-code/M-code and proficiency in MasterCAM Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and precision measuring tools. Ability to work with diverse materials (aluminum, steel, titanium, etc.). Ability to program diverse CNC jobs, which may include challenging or simple geometries and high-rate or low-rate production. Ability to specify workholding and programs for pallet-changing equipment capable of running lights-out.
