Job Description

Client seeks motivated, detail-oriented Machining professional with a strong background in CNC Programming using MasterCam or GibbsCam. Will interact with Machinists to create and update programs while maintaining the necessary tooling. Flexibility is vital as opportunities arise to set up tools, create fixtures, and operate machines as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Use MasterCam or GibbsCam to develop CNC programs for parts, continuously improving on existing processes and updating programs accordingly Process simple to complex machined parts using supplied solid models or 2D drawings; process will include all aspects of machining, including programming, fixture design, tool selection, set-up instructions (verbal and written), proper machining strategies, and inspection. Instruct, guide and train CNC Machinists as required Design and develop work holding, custom tooling, and gauging to meet customer inspection specifications Support production floor by troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions to keep machines running parts that conform to specs Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities in machining processes through cutting tool selection with external vendors Manage tooling being returned from completed jobs (evaluate condition, put away in cabinets, and maintain tooling inventory) Set up and operate CNC and manual mills/lathes as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to set up and operate both CNC and manual mills/lathes Must have extensive knowledge of CNC mills and lathes Must have horizontal mill programming experience Minimum of five years of CNC Machining and Programming experience Minimum of two years of experience with Fixture Design Experience programming live tooling with twin-spindle/twin-turret lathes is a plus Proficient with Haas, Fanuc, and Okuma controllers Must be able to pass a physical and drugscreen
SCHEDULE
1st Shift, typically Monday to Friday, but must be willing to work overtime as needed
