This role is responsible for setting up, operating, programming, and troubleshooting both CNC and conventional machine tools while supporting daily production schedules and ensuring the highest levels of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a continuous improvement mindset and be comfortable working with a variety of materials, custom components, and complex machining setups. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, and conventional machining equipment. Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-Code, M-Code, and conversational programming. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and first-piece inspections. Troubleshoot machining, programming, and quality issues to maintain production efficiency. Support production scheduling and prioritize work to meet customer delivery requirements. Manufacture precision components while maintaining strict quality standards. Work with a variety of materials and custom customer projects requiring specialized setups. Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is operating safely and effectively. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and process efficiency. Required Qualifications Ability to pass background and D&B checks. 3-5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with both manual and CNC lathes and mills. Ability to create, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code and M-Code programs. Experience with conversational programming. Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and setup procedures. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree in Machine Tool Technology, Tool & Die Technology, or related field. Completion of a machining apprenticeship program. Experience machining a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and specialty alloys. Experience with low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.
