In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating both 2-axis and 3-axis CNC lathes to produce high-quality components. Your expertise will ensure efficient workflows, adherence to strict quality standards, and continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. This position offers a fast paced environment for skilled professionals eager to apply their technical knowledge and craftsmanship to exciting projects in a variety of materials in industries ranging from Aerospace and Mining to Food or Plastic Production. Duties Set up CNC lathe machines, including installing tooling, fixtures, and editing programs for optimal performance. Program CNC lathes conversationally to part specifications. Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing. Operate CNC lathes with Okuma OSP Controls, monitoring machining processes for quality and efficiency. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore & thread gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. Perform routine maintenance, and adjust machine parameters as needed to maintain production flow. Collaborate with team members on lean manufacturing initiatives and optimize tooling and setup procedures for continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience in CNC programming and setup on CNC lathe machines; familiarity with live tooling is a plus. Strong knowledge of Okuma Controls. Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T accuracy. High Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes and tooling. Understanding of welding techniques preferred. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges quality assurance. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances essential for precision manufacturing. Experience with Okuma CNC controls & systems is required. Knowledge of machining Titanium and High Nickel Superalloys is advantageous. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment safely. Manual Machining experience preferred Strong attention to detail combined with ability to work independently or within a team environment.
Pay:
$35.00 - $42.00 per hour
