Job Description
Job Summary At Progressive Dimensions, the Countertop Programmer converts field measurements and customer specifications into production-ready digital programs for CNC machinery. This role ensures accurate countertop fabrication. Key Responsibilities Create and modify CNC programs for countertop fabrication. Convert digital templates and measurements into machine-ready files. Review shop drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications for accuracy. Program sink cutouts, cooktop openings, edge profiles, backsplashes, and specialty features. Collaborate with templaters, managers, and fabrication staff. Troubleshoot programming and production issues. Maintain programming standards and machine integrity. Verify finished programs before releasing for fabrication. Qualifications Experience with CAD/CAM software. Knowledge of CNC routing and stone fabrication processes. Ability to read architectural drawings and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Basic math and geometry skills. Experience in countertop, cabinetry, millwork, or stone fabrication preferred. Preferred Skills CNC machine operation knowledge. Material optimization and nesting experience. Understanding of granite, quartz, marble, and solid-surface materials. Communication skills. Team work. Forklift experience.
