Job Description

Randstad is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join the engineering team of a premier luxury cabinetry and millwork manufacturer in Suffolk County, NY. This is an office-based technical role-not a shop-floor operator position-focused on translating high-end interior designs into machine-ready production files.
salary:
$63,000 - $93,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4

High SchoolResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Engineering & Coding:
Translate architectural shop drawings and 3D models into efficient CNC programs and tool paths.
Software Integration:
Utilize AutoCAD, iX, and EnRoute (or similar CAM software) to process cabinet and millwork models for CNC routers.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work daily with drafters, and designers, to ensure design accuracy and troubleshoot toolpath issues.
File Management:
Maintain strict alignment between design models and CNC output to ensure flawless production of custom residential installations.
Required Qualifications Industry Expertise:
2-5+ years of CNC programming experience specifically within the millwork or cabinetry industry. (Experience in metal or unrelated sectors will not be considered).
Software Proficiency:
Advanced AutoCAD skills are essential. Experience with iX, EnRoute, Cut Rite, or WoodWOP is highly preferred.
Technical Literacy:
Ability to interpret complex architectural drawings and translate them into machine code.
Professional Reliability:
We are seeking candidates with a history of longevity in previous roles; must be punctual and available for occasional Saturdays.
