Job Description

Power Drives, Inc. is a Buffalo‑based manufacturer specializing in custom‑engineered hose, tube, and fluid conveyance systems for a wide range of industrial and mobile equipment applications. Founded in 1946, PDI is known for delivering high‑quality, reliable solutions backed by strong engineering expertise and decades of industry experience. Objective Programs computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery that automatically mills, punches, frills, broaches, or beams metals parts. Schedule 7:00 AM
  • 5:30 PM Monday
  • Thursday Minimum Requirements Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or related field 5 years machine stop experience that includes machine programming Job Requirements Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal follow up supervision Observant, attentive to detail, and quality conscious Above average math, reasoning, and problem-solving skills Practical experience with machine shop metal working machinery Practical experience with precision measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers Practical experience with CNC machine programming, capable of using conventional and G Code Mill controllers Essential Duties and Responsibilities Build machined precision components and assembles as assigned Make adjustments to machine to adhere to established specifications or to correct faulty programming Consult product or project blueprints and technical data sheets as required Conceptualized and design production parts or other machines components Make general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequences Review, organize, and prioritize manufacturing steps for all assigned projects Specify and secure materials required for projects, or forward requests for required materials to the Design Engineer for acquisition Verify that all products conform to customer or company expectations for fit, form, and function Perform detailed quality inspections as required to ensure production meets expectations Perform all paperwork and documentation as required Perform preventative equipment maintenance as assigned Participated in problem solving or customer complaint resolution efforts Inform supervisor of all equipment, processes, materials, blueprints, safety, and quality concerns Participated in daily area clean up and more significant facility clean-up efforts Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and workplace practices Accept reassignment to other areas or departments as workload dictates Other duties as assigned by the Process Engineer Physical Requirements This position demands physical strength and endurance, including the use of industrial tools and machinery.
Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive tasks, heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.), standing for extended periods, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and working in a fast‑paced production environment. Pay Rate $30.00
