CNC Programmer

MetalWyze is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to lead the digital side of our fabrication department. You will be responsible for programming our state-of-the-art fabrication equipment, including the Trumpf TruPunch 1000 and Thalmann TD150 folders. This is a critical role in a new facility; while we require strong CAD proficiency, we are looking for a candidate with the initiative to learn and master proprietary software to maximize machine performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficiency CAD (2D/3D). Experience with CNC punching or folding software (Trumpf Boost, AutoPol, or similar) is highly preferred, but we will train the right CAD user. Strong ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and shop drawings. Understanding of sheet metal geometry, bend allowances, and flat pattern development.

Self-Starter Mentality:

Willingness to deep-dive into machine manuals and software guides to expand capabilities beyond basic training. Must have a can-do, problem-solving attitude.

MAIN JOB TASKS & REQUIREMENTS

Create nested programs for the Trumpf TruPunch 1000 using Boost, AutoPol, Solidworks, software to maximize material yield and minimize scrap. Generate folding sequences and programs for Thalmann TD150 double folders using AutoPol or NuEvolution. Collaborate with the Operations Manager and OEM Edge Metal CSR to verify part tolerances against customer drawings. Troubleshoot code or programming errors on the shop floor to prevent downtime. Maintain a digital library of standard part programs and custom profiles for repeat orders. Assist in the setup and testing of new parts (First Article Inspection) to ensure programs produce accurate physical parts. Continuously optimize programs to reduce cycle times and improve production efficiency. Own the PM and Production programming of all automated folding and punching equipment. You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
