Job Description

Job Summary We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support operations at their facility in the Oneida, NY area. This individual will play a key role in developing and optimizing CNC programs for a variety of machining applications, including mills and lathes. Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a machining environment is a plus. This is a full-time position with overtime available as needed.
Responsibilities:
Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for machining operations Review and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and blueprints Support machinists during machine setup and troubleshooting Create and modify CAM programs using Mastercam and SolidWorks Determine machining sequences, tooling requirements, feeds, and speeds Run simulations and tests to validate programs prior to production Improve machining efficiency, setup times, and overall productivity Select appropriate cutting tools and machining methods Work with complex geometries and contouring applications Monitor machining programs to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with specifications Provide technical guidance and training to machinists and operators as needed Maintain compliance with company safety standards and procedures
Qualifications:
4+ years of CNC programming experience within a machining or manufacturing environment Experience programming 3, 4, and 5-axis mills and lathes Proficiency with Mastercam and SolidWorks required Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and/or Okuma controls preferred Experience operating or programming CMM equipment preferred Hands-on CNC setup and machining experience preferred Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong organizational and communication skills
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Technical school certification or related machining/programming experience preferred Additional continuing education or advanced machining certifications are a plus
Pay:
$43.00 - $48.00 per hour
