Job Description

We have an outstanding Contract position for a CNC Programmer to join a leading Company located in the Woodstock, NY surrounding area.
Pay Rate:
$30
  • $35 We are seeking a CNC Programmer who can translate engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models into precise, machine-readable code (G-code/M-code).
A programmer utilizes CAM software to direct CNC machines (mills, lathes) in fabricating precision parts. A programmer is responsible for selecting tools, determining speeds/feeds, simulating, and troubleshooting programs to ensure efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities :
Analyze blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to create, edit, and optimize CNC programs. Utilize CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) to design toolpaths and simulate operations to avoid collisions. Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for the production process. Troubleshoot and revise programs to eliminate errors, improve cycle times, and optimize production efficiency. Inspect and verify finished parts against engineering drawings to ensure accuracy.
Basic Hiring Criteria :
High school diploma or equivalent, plus a certificate or associate's degree in CNC programming, machining, or manufacturing technology.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CAM/Master CAM software.
Mathematical & Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in trigonometry, geometry, and blueprint reading.
Machining Knowledge:
Understanding of cutting tool properties, material properties, and speeds/feeds. Experienced in programming Fanuc and Siemens controllers. Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
