Job Description

Why Join the B-K Team? B-K Tool & Design is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist / CNC Programmer for our 3rd shift team in Kalida, OH. This position involves CNC milling, CNC programming, machine setup, and operation of 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis and lathe machining centers producing precision-machined components for high end automation systems. Candidates with experience in CNC machining, CNC setup, G-code editing, CAM programming, Mastercam, Fusion 360, and multi-axis machining are encouraged to apply. This is not a repetitive production operator role. We are looking for skilled machinists who can independently set up, program, and run complex parts with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
Independently program, set up, and operate
HAAS CNC
machines (3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis) Work on custom automation and low-volume precision components Use CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar) to create and modify programs Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and 3D models Select tooling, speeds, and feeds for complex machining operations Inspect parts using precision measurement tools Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes Work independently with minimal supervision Collaborate with engineering and quality teams when needed
Experience:
5+ years CNC machining experience (job shop or custom manufacturing preferred) Strong CNC setup and programming ability Experience with HAAS machines and multi-axis machining Ability to read complex engineering drawings and
GD&T CAM
programming experience is required Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently on 3rd shift
