CNC Programmer

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs used in the production of precision steel components. This role works closely with machinists and production staff to ensure efficient machining processes, tight tolerances, and high-quality output. 1st shift M/F 8a-4p and pay starts at $30-$38 range BOE. Key Responsibilities

• Create and edit CNC programs for turning and milling operations
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and part specifications
• Optimize tool paths and machining strategies to improve efficiency
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various steel materials
• Support machinists with program adjustments and troubleshooting
• Verify program accuracy through test runs and inspections
• Maintain program documentation and revision control
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain tight tolerances
• Continuously improve machining processes to reduce cycle time and scrap Qualifications
• Experience programming CNC turning and/or milling machines
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of G-code programming
• Understanding of machining tolerances and steel materials
• Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspection
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and with production teams Preferred Experience
• 3+ years CNC programming experience
• Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
• Background working with alloy steels, stainless steels, or hardened materials
• Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion, or similar) Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand and move throughout the production floor
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
