In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and optimizing CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise will ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to innovative production solutions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Develop and write CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as Mastercam or Esprit to control CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, utilizing GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure accurate manufacturing. Set up and operate CNC equipment, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) tools, ensuring proper tooling and calibration. Perform precision measurements using calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions. Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize machining processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity. Troubleshoot machining issues by analyzing tool wear, machine alignment, and program errors; adjust parameters as needed for optimal performance. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, inspections, and process improvements to ensure compliance with quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience programming and operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks, AutoCad, and Esprit Proficiency in CAM programming software for creating efficient toolpaths aligned with manufacturing goals. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and GD&T standards for precise part fabrication. Mechanical knowledge of tooling, geometry, machining processes, and the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and bore gauges. Experience working with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems is highly desirable. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical schematics related to machine setup and troubleshooting. Strong math skills for calculating feeds, speeds, tolerances, and geometric relationships necessary for high-quality machining.
