As a Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software programs that meet the needs of our organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment where you can showcase your programming skills. An employee in this classification may perform any of the following duties. However, these examples do not include all the specific tasks which an employee in this classification may be expected to perform.
Responsibilities:
Creates CAM programs for CNC Mill composite material, SST, Aluminum, titanium and plastics. Works closely with the CNC Mill Operator to ensure that specific requirements are met when job involves a non-standard milling procedure. Monitors CAM process to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality in design process, correcting any problems as they arise. Transports or transfers fixtures and/or printed circuit boards to designated location.
Secondary Functions:
Performs some CAD operations in conjunction with CAM programming. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma and 1-2 years of experience with CAM and/or 2+ years of related machine experience, or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job. Prefer some previous experience with CAD. Experience with GibbsCAM and MasterCAM is a huge plus. Knowledge of principles, practices and methodologies as related to CAM Programming, CAD, and machining. Knowledge of and ability to effectively use Windows, Microsoft OS and Virtual Gibbs or MasterCAM software. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
