Job Description

Overview We are seeking skilled and trainable CNC Machinists to join our manufacturing teams across all shifts for multiple locations throughout Erie County, PA. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the efficient production of high-quality components used in various industries. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise parts Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software; troubleshoot programming issues Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and tooling to maintain accuracy and efficiency Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining operations; adjust machine parameters as needed Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to specifications Maintain a clean and organized work area; adhere to safety protocols at all times Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing practices Support assembly processes when required, utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plastics injection molding techniques Requirements Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes; familiarity with Fanuc controls preferred Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM software; ability to create or modify programs efficiently Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting GD&T standards for precise manufacturing Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, fixtures, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and basic math skills Experience with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as plastics injection molding and welding techniques is a plus Ability to work effectively across all shifts in a fast-paced environment; flexibility is essential Valid forklift certification is advantageous for material handling tasks Commitment to safety standards and quality assurance practices If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for precision machining and manufacturing excellence, we encourage you to apply today.
