CNC Machine Programmer / Machinist

Main functions: The main purpose of this position is to provide leadership and assistance for a team of CNC Machinists.

Production Manager Duties:

Assist production manager in assigning work and shop scheduling. Act as a technical resource for other machinists (answer questions related to material, customer orders, drawing interpretation, programming, etc…). Lead shift towards greater efficiency and higher quality of the product. Operate Mazak CNC Machinery Read drawings and specifications to determine the proper set up of lathe machines with geometrical dimensions and tolerancing Program machines to proper specifications and tolerances Operate multiple machines simultaneously Responsible for continual operation of multiple production areas Ensure quality of parts produced within close tolerances Basic troubleshooting of equipment Prefer Job Shop Experience Working conditions: The standard workweek is Monday through Friday, 7- 3:30. Must be able and willing to work any shift as required (shift premium applied for off-shifts). Overtime may be required, including weekends when necessary

Position Requirements:

High School Diploma Ability to work independently and prioritize work Minimum of 3 years work experience with CNC machinery required Formal education in CNC machining preferred T-Plus and Matrix Nexus Programming experience required Experience with programming live tooling and twin spindles Strong understanding of measurements and ability to read drawings required Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to operate overhead crane Ability to operate power tools, manual, and CNC machinery Ability to stand for long periods of time Work in a manufacturing environment (extreme temperatures, dirty conditions)
