Job Description

CNC Programmer - Direct Hire | Daylight Shift (Multiple Positions)

Irwin, PA Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, overtime on Friday as needed

Daylight Pay:
$34 to $42+/hour (based on experience, training, and qualifications) We are currently hiring multiple CNC Programmers for one of the leading machine shops in Westmoreland County. This is a 21st century machine shop that focuses on precision work using multi-axis machines. This is a chance to support a shop working on innovative parts & materials.
Position Overview:
You will be responsible for creating programs using CAM/CAD Software.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC Programming and experience with various CNC Machines.

Duties include programming for multi-axis mills & lathes, interpret customer blueprints, drawings, and designs to create accurate CNC Programs, troubleshoot CNC programs and machines, keep record of CNC programs and machining operations, and continuously improve programming techniques to increase productivity.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Programming for various CNC machines using CAM Software (Esprit, Mastercam, or a similar software experience is a plus) Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints to develop CNC programs for multi axis Mills and turning centers. Ability to troubleshoot and modify existing CNC code. Keep inventory/ catalog of CNC programs and machine operations for customer jobs. Strive to continuously improve CNC operations through programming to increase efficiency and productivity.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent or AS degree 5 years CNC programming experience using Esprits or similar CAM software. Ability to read, interpret and write CNC programs from engineering blueprints.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs to move finished units You should be proficient in: CNC Programming CAD/CAM Software
