Job Description

CNC Programmer•Hunt Valve (Fairbanks Morse Defense) Northeast Ohio | 1st Shift (7:00 AM•4:30 PM) |
Salary:
$75,000•$95,000 Hunt Valve is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team supporting precision machining of mission-critical defense components . The ideal candidate will bring strong experience designing work holding fixtures , a solid understanding of modern machining practices, awareness of current tooling solutions, and hands-on experience programming a variety of materials. This role is responsible for programming mills, lathes, mill-turns, machining centers, and other equipment as required . A minimum of 3-5 years of CAM programming experience in a manufacturing environment is required . CNC Programmer Responsibilities Create CNC programs to manufacture parts that meet engineering blueprint requirements Work closely with machine operators to ensure programs produce parts to specification Design work holding fixtures for machining applications Recommend and source required tooling for production needs Perform machining observation studies Support make/buy decision-making processes Education High School Diploma required Certificate, associate degree, or apprenticeship in CNC Programming preferred Experience 5+ years operating and editing mills, lathes, mill-turns, machining centers, or similar equipment 3-5 years programming CNC equipment using CAM software Required Skills Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM systems for geometry creation and toolpath development Experience with CNC milling and turning machines (Okuma, Mazak, Fanuc, Haas, etc.) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications Understanding of GD&T (preferred) Ability to use inspection and measuring tools Experience with GibbsCAM or Master cam preferred Solid Works experience a plus 5-axis machining/programming experience a plus Union Environment (Structured & Collaborative) Hunt Valve is a union facility with clearly defined roles that promote craftsmanship, accountability, and teamwork.
