CNC Programmer Machining Ladson, South Carolina Professional Direct Hire Mar 17, 2026 CNC Programmer Direct Hire | 1st Shift
Pay:
Starting at $28.00+ Per Hour (Depends on Experience) A growing global industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer who brings a high level of technical machining knowledge. The ideal candidate must have experience with CNC programming and machine operation, along with excellent problem-solving skills. What You Need High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a relevant field preferred 2+ years of experience in CNC programming and operation with very strong knowledge and skills; familiarity with Okuma CNC machines preferred Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines Knowledge of basic math and geometry Ability to understand work orders and drawings and follow detailed instructions Mechanical aptitude and ability to use simple hand tools Proficiency with micrometers and other common measuring instruments What You Will Do Create and optimize CNC lathe programs using G-code programming (e.g., CIMCO Edit) Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts in single-piece and series production Select tools and fixtures to meet the requirements of new production lines Apply proven knowledge and skills in operating and programming Okuma CNC machines Monitor manufacturing processes and react as necessary to maintain proper operation Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance Provide input and ideas for process improvement and optimization (e.g., 6S, SMED) Maintain accurate records of production data, including part counts and cycle times Identify and troubleshoot problems that arise during the manufacturing process to ensure high-quality production Create machining processes for lathes with live tooling Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols What Is Offered Health Insurance - Blue Cross Blue Shield Dental Insurance 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan Paid Vacation Sick Leave Equal Opportunity Employer
