Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop manufacturing process and tooling design for CNC Router processes to satisfy customer requirements per customer supplied data and tooling. Create tooling concepts, tool designs, and provide producibility suggestions and enhancements to allow components to be manufactured more effectively and efficiently. Provide liaison support to operation for technical issues. Sales support through cost estimating for quotes and process improvement on parts fabrication.
  • Review and analyze the CNC program effectiveness via process capability during development.
  • Produce Tool design models and/or drawings for tooling required of metallic components and assemblies, composite components and assemblies.
  • Provide professional CNC Programming and project engineering/management of new business from Contract Review through to delivery of product.
  • Plan and produce milling and turning CNC programs as well as drive and direct engineering/manufacturing process planning in accordance with customer.
  • Provide CNC Programs for 5 axis routing applications using Mastercam software.
  • Assist production demands through first-piece fabrication support and as required through part fabrication cycle.
  • Support sales effort through cost estimating for quotes from customers.
  • Promote continuous improvement with respect to manufacturing and quality.

  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and process specifications. Must be familiar with the engineering and processing of composites.
  • Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles changes, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirements.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Should have knowledge of 3D Design software; ERP software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, Windows and Outlook.
  • Must be motivated, energetic and able to perform with moderate supervision
  • Must be able to work under pressure
