Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce precision components with exceptional quality. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and accuracy in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technologies and contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using Fanuc controls. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure precise manufacturing. Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as Inventor, Mastercam and other programs to develop accurate toolpaths and machining strategies. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Maintain machine tools by performing routine inspections, adjustments, and troubleshooting electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes when necessary. Select appropriate tooling and tooling setups; manage tooling inventory for optimal machining performance. Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality through continuous improvement initiatives. Skills Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is preferred. Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings for accurate part fabrication. Hands-on experience with CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or similar for design review; experience with CAM programming is highly desirable. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances essential for machining accuracy. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, hand tools, power tools, and tooling management. Mechanical aptitude combined with understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, welding, and the use of hand tools. Ability to operate forklifts safely; familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize production flow.
