This is a hands-on role for a highly skilled machinist who requires minimal training beyond learning company-specific products and processes. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines, with the ability to independently produce high-precision parts from blueprints and GD&T specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines Program and edit G-code at the machine control Work with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls Perform tooling setup, fixturing, alignment, and workholding Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges Troubleshoot machining and EDM processes as needed Complete production and quality documentation Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe work area Required Qualifications Minimum 4 years of CNC machining and Wire EDM experience Strong setup and operation experience with CNC mills and lathes Experience programming/editing G-code at the machine Experience with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls Ability to read blueprints and GD&T drawings Strong shop math and precision measurement skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Preferred Qualifications Experience with Makino CNC machines Familiarity with Esprit or Mastercam software Background in aerospace, medical device, automotive, mold & die, or precision manufacturing environments Work Environment This is a full-time, on-site manufacturing position located in Knoxville, TN (37932).
