Job Description

CNC Programmer / Machinist Veritas Custom Guitars — Columbia, TN Full-Time | In Person Veritas Custom Guitars is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our team. This role is responsible for CNC programming, machining, fixture and jig development, and supporting production throughout the guitar-building process. We are looking for someone with strong CAD/CAM experience who can not only operate and program CNC machines, but also think critically about improving workflows, fixturing, precision, and production efficiency in a custom shop environment. Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming & CAD/CAM Program and optimize CNC machines for guitar bodies, necks, jigs, and fixtures Create and modify CAD/CAM files and toolpaths using Rhino and RhinoCAM Troubleshoot, revise, and improve existing CNC programs Set up tooling, workholding, and machining operations Fixture & Jig Development Design, build, and maintain fixtures and jigs to support manufacturing processes Develop production aids that improve repeatability, workflow, and accuracy Assist with prototyping and process development for new models and custom projects Machining & Shop Support Operate CNC and manual machines to produce precision guitar components Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models Perform measurements and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency Maintain tooling, cutting equipment, and machines Assist in other areas of guitar production as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Qualifications Proven experience in CNC programming and machining Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software and machining processes Proficiency in Rhino and RhinoCAM preferred Experience designing and building fixtures and jigs Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment Experience in woodworking, manufacturing, or custom fabrication preferred Guitar industry experience is a plus, but not required What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who understands both the technical and practical side of machining — someone who can program, run machines, solve problems, improve processes, and contribute to a high-quality custom manufacturing environment.
