Austin, TX Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications CNC programming Blueprint specification interpretation Autodesk Inventor Manufacturing Manufacturing company experience Mechanical knowledge Entry level Full Job Description A CNC (computer numerically controlled) Programmer works with machinery which cuts raw materials into functional items. They are responsible for interpreting project blueprints and designing programs to produce the component outlined in the program. Review drawings for accuracy and completeness. Compare BOM's to drawings for final verification before downloading program. Utilizing software (AutoCAD, Router Sim, Solid Sim, AutoCAD Inventor), convert drawings into CNC programs for the KOM CNC router/saw. Verify final program matches the drawing and download to the Wood department. Create program library for easy retrieval of old programs. Be a role model for all production team members and to stay actively involved in developing the Formaspace culture along with continued participation in culture crew events and activities associated with building our culture. Maitain a positive attitude and work in a collaborative work environment. Strong understanding of CAD software. Mechanically inclined with some previous mfg. experience. Experience in CAd software with ability to learn new software quickly. Demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to temperature ranges from 65 to 95 degrees F as well as low and high humidity ranges.
