Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Design and CNC Milling Specialist to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will leverage advanced CAD software to create precise technical drawings and models, and translate these designs into high-quality components using CNC milling machines. Your expertise in CNC programming, machining processes, and mechanical design will drive the production of complex parts with exceptional accuracy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and contribute to precision manufacturing projects that demand meticulous attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a passion for craftsmanship. Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA to support manufacturing specifications. Prepare comprehensive CNC programs for milling machines, including Fanuc controllers, ensuring optimal tool paths and efficiency. Operate CNC milling machines and lathes with precision, adhering to safety standards and quality requirements. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for accurate fabrication. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances. Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline machining processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity. Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design, fixture setup, and troubleshooting machining issues to ensure seamless production flow. Qualifications Proven experience in CAD design using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for manufacturing applications. Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation on milling machines equipped with Fanuc or similar controllers. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings; ability to interpret technical specifications accurately. Hands-on experience with CNC lathe operations is a plus. Knowledge of GD&T standards for precise measurement and quality control. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Understanding of machining processes including electrical discharge machining (EDM) and tooling setup. Mechanical knowledge related to geometry, schematics, and manufacturing principles; ability to troubleshoot machining issues effectively. Strong math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings; familiarity with CAM programming is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. Join us if you're passionate about precision engineering! Bring your expertise in CAD design and CNC milling to a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in manufacturing innovation. We value proactive problem-solvers who thrive on creating high-quality parts through meticulous craftsmanship combined with advanced technology.
