In this energetic role, you will leverage your expertise in CNC programming and machining to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and ensure the highest standards of quality. Your technical skills and innovative mindset will drive continuous improvement and support our commitment to manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and other machining centers using CAM software and G-code programming. Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, applying GD&T principles to ensure precise manufacturing. Set up CNC machines by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and calibration tools such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications. Collaborate with design engineers utilizing CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA to review designs and suggest manufacturability improvements. Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity across machining operations. Troubleshoot machining issues related to CNC lathe and milling machines, electrical discharge machining (EDM), or tooling problems to minimize downtime. Requirements Proven experience programming CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines with Fanuc controls or similar systems. Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, and related tools for creating and editing schematics and toolpaths. Solid understanding of blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), schematics, and mechanical drawings. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining techniques like electrical discharge machining (EDM) and precision measurement methods. Familiarity with CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with CAM programming is essential. Mechanical knowledge of tooling selection, geometry calculations, and the use of precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately while applying math skills for precise measurements. Strong problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to continuous improvement initiatives within lean manufacturing environments.
