PrideStaff is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer on behalf of a premier manufacturing client located in Fort Worth, TX. If you have a solid foundation in generating tool paths, optimizing machining processes, and a passion for precision manufacturing, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and troubleshooting CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts. You will work closely with the production team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to tight tolerances. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, GibbsCAM, etc.) for milling and/or turning centers. Read and interpret technical blueprints, 3D models, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to determine the best machining methods. Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for various materials (metals, alloys, plastics). Create and edit G-code and M-code directly at the machine control panel when necessary. Perform initial machine setups, tool offsets, and run first-article inspections to verify program accuracy. Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust programs to reduce cycle times, and extend tool life. Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to ensure products meet all specifications and quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setup sheets, and tooling lists. Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
3 to 5 years of proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. Software Proficiency:
Strong working knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Mastercam experience is highly preferred). Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of G-code, M-code, and manual editing at the controller (Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, etc.). Blueprint Reading:
Expert ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T. Tooling Knowledge:
Solid understanding of cutting tools, work-holding techniques, and optimal speeds/feeds for various materials. Quality Focused:
Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical certificate or degree in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is a strong plus. Soft Skills:
