Description:
You will be the Numerical Control Programmer Stf (Level 4) for the Grand Prairie site. Our team is responsible for supporting a rapidly growing shop by developing new machining processes and improving legacy processes. What You Will Be Doing As the Numerical Control Programmer Stf (Level 4) you will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs that enable high‑quality, on‑time production. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Develop new CNC machining processes and program parts to meet design specifications. Analyze and improve existing legacy programs to increase efficiency and reduce scrap. Select and maintain tooling, fixtures, and work‑holding solutions for optimal performance. Troubleshoot machining issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Document process parameters, best practices, and lessons learned for knowledge sharing. Basic Qualifications:
  • NC programming experience using a CAM package
  • Proven process improvement and problem solving experience
  • Deep understanding of machining practices and cutting tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • 5+ years of related experience
Desired Skills:
  • Experience programming 3-5 axis mills and mill turn machines for a variety of materials
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Vericut
  • Ability to design fixturing / workholding solutions
  • Experience evaluating new designs and providing feedback to improve part machineability

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
