CNC Laser Programmer/Operator

We are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Programmer/Operator to run a PPI Laser Pro sheet metal cutting system in a fast-paced HVAC duct fabrication environment. This role primarily involves cutting galvanized sheet metal, so candidates must be familiar with handling coated materials and maintaining consistent cut quality. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machine (PPI Laser Pro or similar) Load and run cut programs (DXF/DWG files) Perform basic programming and/or nesting (depending on experience) Cut galvanized sheet metal for HVAC duct components Adjust machine parameters (power, speed, assist gas) for optimal cut quality Monitor and maintain edge quality, minimizing dross and burn Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and consistency Perform routine maintenance (nozzles, lenses, cleaning) Troubleshoot cutting issues related to galvanized material Maintain production efficiency and minimize material waste Requirements 2+ years CNC laser cutting experience (fiber or CO₂) Experience cutting galvanized sheet metal Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings Familiarity with DXF/DWG files Strong attention to detail and quality control Preferred Qualifications CNC laser programming and nesting experience HVAC duct fabrication experience Experience in high-volume production environments What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience ($24-$30/hr) Overtime opportunities Stable, full-time work Opportunity for growth Pay is based on experience — higher end of range offered to candidates with galvanized sheet metal and programming experience.
