The business relies heavily on SolidWorks and SWOOD for parametric design and engineering, with CNC machining as a critical step in converting engineered designs into physical products. Due to the high mix and customization of work, accurate, optimized, and well-documented CNC programs are essential to production efficiency, quality, and delivery performance. Role Summary This role sits between Engineering and Production at Hollman and is responsible for translating SolidWorks/SWOOD engineering outputs into executable CNC machine programs for the shop floor. The Process Engineer ensures programs are accurate, optimized, and production-ready, while maintaining and improving machining strategies and standards. The role also produces supporting documentation to help operators, planners, and managers clearly understand machining requirements and cycle times. The position reports to the Central Planner, with engineering management oversight.

Prepare machine-ready programs for release to Production at Hollman facilities Ensure all programs align with machine capabilities, tooling standards, and material specifications Machining Strategy & Standardization Develop, maintain, and improve machining strategies across Hollman product lines Maintain feeds, speeds, toolpaths, nesting strategies, and post-processing Collaborate with Engineering to improve design-for-manufacturability within SWOOD models Program Quality & Verification Review and validate CNC programs prior to production release

Tooling selection and offsets Depths, clearances, and collision risks Post-processor accuracy Support initial production runs as needed Production Documentation & Reporting Create supporting output documents for: CNC operators Production supervisors Central planning and management Develop and maintain: Cycle time reports by product and project Setup instructions and machining notes Tooling and fixture documentation
