Lead CNC Machinist & Programmer

Job Overview Even Platforms is a venture-backed startup that is working towards building fully automated CNC machine shops to provide parts for US aerospace and defense. We are a small, high-output team and we are looking for a lead machinist who is hungry and can own the floor. This is a hands-on role for someone who programs, sets up, and runs complex parts independently and holds themselves to a tight tolerance standard. This person will grow with the company into other roles. Responsibilities Program 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines using Mastercam Set up and fixture complex parts for precision machining operations Operate CMM equipment to verify dimensional accuracy Run and inspect finished parts to aerospace and defense quality standards Interpret and apply GD&T callouts across a range of part geometries Collaborate with leadership on process improvements, workflow, and shop organization Support the transition toward automated operations over time Requirements Expert-level Mastercam programming for 3-axis and 5-axis operations Proven experience fixturing and setting up complex parts in 5-axis machines Hands-on CMM operation experience Strong working knowledge of GD&T Experience machining aerospace or defense grade components to tight tolerances Ability to work independently and take ownership of parts from programming through inspection Preferred Prior experience at a venture-backed startup or defense contractor Familiarity with pallet loaders, FMS systems, or other shop automation Experience running Okuma machines specifically
