This person will be the hands-on expert who keeps our lathe and mill/turn machines running efficiently, programmed correctly, and producing parts that meet tight tolerances. If you take pride in clean setups, precise work, and finding faster ways to get things done, this is your seat. Duties Set up and operate CNC lathes and mill/turn machines for production runs Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs to improve cycle times and reduce scrap Troubleshoot setup issues, tooling problems, and in-process deviations Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts to verify part conformance Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM) to inspect finished parts Identify opportunities to reduce run time and improve process efficiency Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements:
Required Demonstrated experience operating and setting up CNC lathes Solid understanding of GD&T — ability to read and interpret engineering drawings independently Hands-on experience with CNC mill/turn machines Ability to write or edit G-code programs to optimize cycle times Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Nice to Have Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, or similar) Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles Experience in a high-mix, low-volume shop environment Prior involvement in tooling selection or process improvement projects About Us We are a precision manufacturing shop based in Centerville, Utah, serving customers who depend on quality parts delivered on time. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
